Bali reviews patient care facilities at DH Rajouri, directs installation of CCTV cameras
The minister inspected hospital wards including Emergency,
Orthopedics, OPD, diagnostic lab, surgical units and Neo-natal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU).
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, today
reviewed the patient care facilities during a surprise visit to the District
Hospital (DH) Rajouri.
The minister directed the
hospital authorities to install CCTV cameras in and
around the hospital compound for security.
He took a detailed review of stock and supply position of
medicines and also enquired about the staff in position against the sanctioned
strength.
The minister inspected hospital
wards including Emergency, Orthopedics, OPD, diagnostic lab, surgical
units and Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
He also interacted with the
patients and inquired about the quality of health care facilities being
provided in the hospital.
The patients while expressing
their gratitude to the government said the prescribed medicines and diagnostic
tests are being provided and facilitated by the hospital management.
The health minister also
directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Suresh Sharma to expedite the
formulation and submission of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Rs 1 crore
project proposed for renovation and beautification of the district hospital.
Earlier, the Medical
Superintendent, Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, briefed the minister about the
functioning of the hospital. He informed that up to the month of June,
2017, 240 major operations, 460 deliveries including 104 Cesarean, 10724 lab
tests, 2210 X- Rays, 1599 USGs and 443 ECGs were conducted in the hospital
while 507 children were provided immunization for various diseases.
It was further informed
that 25077 medical checkups were conducted in OPD in the month of June this
year.
The minister was further
informed that an amount of Rs. 7.33 Lakh was generated for Hospital Development
Fund during that month (June).
The minister, while lauding the
hospital administration for performing exceptionally well, directed the Medical
Superintendent to install CCTV cameras in and
around the hospital compound for proper security and monitoring.
